Or: taking it slower makes work even more enjoyable
At the German Logistics Congress from 18 to 20 October 2023, we set ourselves the task of further increasing the visibility of the online search platform of the BVL Matchmaker.
As a cooperative offering by the BVL – Bundesvereinigung Logistik, Trovarit AG and the Supply Chain Competence Center Groß & Partner, we provide an online search platform specialized in logistics software.
In this case, we succeeded exceptionally well. We spoke with interested providers who now want to list their solutions free of charge (information via the link here), as well as customers and prospects who want to search.
The fact is: with 180 solutions and providers in the field of logistics solutions, the BVL Matchmaker is the largest research platform in the following areas
- TMS transport management (100+)
- Freight forwarding software (55+)
- Route planning (70+)
- WMS warehouse management (95+)
- Dangerous goods (30+)
- Telematics (45+)

Consulting van instead of a hotel
The journey is the destination – it is time to slow down
Everyone has surely heard that saying before. But this time, I actually reached the destination.
Instead of taking the train or flying, I took my consulting van and drove to Berlin.
Almost 800 km also means making a stop along the way. I did so on both the outbound and return trip at the 3 Gleichen campsite near Gotha.
Among other reasons, I chose this campsite because it has a swimming pond. A swimming pond? Exactly—because, in line with my motto “Healthy Digitalization”, I thought I would go for a swim during the stopover as well. Said and done. It was wonderful. According to the campsite owner, at around 13°C.
Instead of staying in a hotel and spending €200+ , I had a pitch near the Havel for just €25 per night.
Admittedly, the 45-minute bus ride was a bit of a challenge, but it was worth it.
Anyone who can leave the congress in the evening and arrive far away from the hustle and bustle of the city in their cosy home (I also live in my consulting van) has simply hit the jackpot. At least, that is how it feels to me in my very minimalist lifestyle.
Focusing on what matters simply contributes to a better quality of life.
Refreshing in October – it is possible!
But back to the congress: insights and conclusions
Those who listen to customers and partners align their offering directly with new and growing needs. That is why Kai Barth from Trovarit AG (the creator of the Matchmaker) decided on site to significantly expand the offering of the BVL Matchmaker.
Because logistics companies and freight forwarders, in particular, need more than just logistics software—even if that is the core of the business.
That is why there will soon be additional search categories such as CRM, where Trovarit can draw on an offering of > 250 CRM software providers on its search platform.
So stay tuned for what is coming next. It will be exciting, interesting, and will increase the added value for everyone searching.

The secret “health weapon” at the booth
Anyone who deals with sales psychology has certainly heard about using scents in sales.
That is why we used our new “trade fair secret weapon” here: a diffuser with a high-quality essential oil from doTERRA, which my customers also receive as gifts at workshops. (See the blog post Healthy Digitalization)
This time we used lemongrass. That is why our booth always had a refreshing scent—and, in fact, only people in a good mood on site.

Conclusion:
For Trovarit AG and the SCC Center, participating in the BVL Congress as representatives of the BVL Matchmaker was a complete success.
The response was more than positive, and the number of providers who now want to take part is very high.
We have set something good in motion. Keep it up! The added value for everyone is correspondingly high. It is worth continuing.
Congresses can be stress-free and successful—if you approach them the right way!
