Encouraging others to join in and follow suit!
Many want changes in their own lives, but all too many wait until someone else leads the way or they are forced to do so.
I want neither to wait for others nor to follow anyone else. It sounds simple. And ultimately, it is!
It just takes a little bit of courage to take matters into your own hands. To sit down with your spouse and say, YES, that is how we will do it.
In many conversations I have regarding the topic of “moving into a motorhome,” I sense a secret envy. Whether it is a decision like this or a completely different one, especially in today’s times, many people seem to remain in a kind of state of shock.
But those who do so leave the decisions to others, and that is not a good thing.
At first, you think about how difficult it must be to dissolve a 100-square-meter apartment after 23 years, to part with so many things, and thus to take new, sometimes completely unfamiliar paths. Because I am happy to admit it. I have never stayed overnight in a motorhome in my life. I have never been the permanent camper type, but now I am doing it anyway.
Why? Because it feels right, because it is fun, because it is an adventure. And who says that at 55 years of age, one should no longer experience an adventure—a self-chosen one, mind you.
Digitalization as added value, not as a burden
Digitalization encounters us always and everywhere. All areas of our lives are affected by it. Whether for business or private use, no one can escape this technology. Most people do not want to, either.
But could it be that in many areas, digitalization is becoming a burden, even though it should actually provide added value?
Unfortunately, that is the case.
That is why it is sensible and also helpful to take one, or better yet, several critical looks at the topic. I see this as one of my tasks. To provide information on the basis of which one can form one’s own opinion.
Especially in digitalization, all that glitters is not gold. Critically questioning who actually really benefits from it and whether one is prepared to give up freedoms for one’s own digital convenience, if necessary, should happen anew every day.
I am therefore pleased about a steadily growing number of contacts and followers in the various media and try to fulfill this informational task to the best of my knowledge and belief. Because I, too, learn something new in this area every day and hope that all my readers do the same.
So, let’s go!
