Many companies bring in a consultant when it comes to complex digitalization projects. The expectation is clear: experience, expertise, and solutions that work. <\/p>\n

But what happens after the project? Can you apply the methods and analyses yourself\u2014or do you remain dependent on the consultant? <\/p>\n

The honest answer determines whether you benefit long-term or only see short-term results.<\/p>\n

Two Types of Consultants\u2014and Which One Really Benefits You<\/strong><\/p>\n

There are fundamentally two types of consultants:<\/p>\n

– The “I’m here to stay”<\/strong><\/em> type<\/p>\n

– He delivers results without making the steps transparent.
\n– Methods, tools, and analyses remain his trade secret.
\n– You must repeatedly engage him to implement adjustments or new projects.<\/p>\n

The “I make you independent”<\/strong><\/em> type<\/p>\n

– He discloses all methods and analyses.
\n– You receive complete access to the tools used.
\n– He ensures genuine knowledge transfer so you can handle much of it yourself in the future.<\/p>\n
