Sound familiar? 123 km long queues at government offices! <\/strong><\/p>\n

Therefore, I was prepared for anything when I set off to re-register my residence, 2 businesses, and the vehicle<\/strong> at my new place of residence.
\nOne gains quite a bit of experience. Especially if you’re from Munich. Hours of waiting and no idea if you’ll even be seen today.
\nIt was clear to me from the start that I wouldn’t be able to get everything done in one day. That’s why I immediately booked an overnight stay at a friend’s holiday home. <\/p>\n

The following activities were planned:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Visit Heidi at the campsite to get my “Confirmation of Occupancy from the Landlord” (based on the permanent camper rental agreement)<\/li>\n
  2. Change of residence registration<\/li>\n
  3. Registration of my two businesses<\/li>\n
  4. Vehicle re-registration<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    and then everything turned out completely, completely different!<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

    First “Oh and Aha”<\/strong><\/em> moment: Free parking about 50 m from the entrance.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

    The process and waiting times:<\/p>\n

    1. Wake up 4:30 AM – Depart 5:00 AM – Arrive with break 8:30 AM<\/li>\n
    2. Visit to Heidi (campsite) – approx. 45 minutes, but only because I was too early and Heidi tends to wake up later<\/li>\n
    3. Drive to Waldfischbach-Burgalben<\/li>\n
    4. Find parking: 10 seconds<\/li>\n
    5. Enter the office and go to the correct department, directly on the ground floor – 30 seconds<\/li>\n
    6. Waiting time at the Residents’ Registration Office – 0 seconds<\/li>\n
    7. Processing – 10 minutes<\/li>\n
    8. Transition to the Trade Office – 5 seconds<\/li>\n
    9. Processing – 20 minutes<\/li>\n
    10. Drive to Pirmasens<\/li>\n
    11. First, the wrong city hall, then the wrong authority for the city, not the district, because the ladies at the city hall hadn’t asked me where my actual residence was. Time including 2x parking, going to the office, waiting times, driving times – 30 minutes <\/li>\n
    12. Drive to the District Office – 10 minutes – free parking in front of the door<\/li>\n
    13. Waiting time at the Vehicle Registration Office – 30 seconds (including pulling a number)<\/li>\n
    14. Processing including payment at the cashier – 15 minutes <\/li>\n
    15. Done!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Excuse me? Done? Shortly after 11:00 AM, I was finished with everything. I think I’ll be a monkey’s uncle! <\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

      Do you notice anything? How often have I calculated in SECONDS<\/strong> here, and not minutes, hours, or even days. <\/p>\n

      Now I was faced with the question of what else I should do. But as is well known, you can also do something positive with newfound time.
      \nFrom shopping at the local chocolate factory (dangerous!), having coffee with Sabine (the one with the overnight stay), visiting Pascal, and even a spontaneous business meeting. That would never have happened to me in Munich!<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

      Overall Conclusion:<\/strong> What really keeps you in a big city when a much better quality of life is possible elsewhere? In any case, this applies to me and my goals. In the countryside, there’s still no chaos in the offices, and you can still talk to real and friendly people there. Who are also helpful, by the way.
      \nThis experience has once again confirmed that I made the right decision! Thanks to the friendly staff! I’d gladly come back here. (at the latest when I have to pick up my new ID card) <\/p>\n

      By the way:<\/strong> To “redeem” the KVR Munich and their “digital capabilities,” I must admit that I was more than surprised that I could deregister my two businesses online. There was even a confirmation by email.
      \nI then used that for registration, and although the lady had never seen anything like it before, I was able to register with the request that the originals be sent later. WOW, what flexibility and customer orientation.
      \n<\/strong>In Munich, they probably would have given me the proverbial Bavarian “Watschn”<\/strong><\/em> (slap), sent me home, and invited me back to “wait” again after receiving the originals. Thank you, dear employee in Waldfischbach-Burgalben<\/a>! You were excellent! <\/p>\n
